Apple to Seek Reported $1 Million From iAd Buyers

- Apple (NASD:AAPL) may seek as much as $1 million from advertisers looking to utilize its
new iAd format for the iPhone, and $10 million from those wishing to be launch
partners for the format, The Wall Street Journal reported. Apple announced the
iAd format earlier this month, saying it would serve the ads to iPhones itself,
and provide 60% of revenue to the developers whose applications the iAds will

Report: Hulu Shelves U.K. Plans After Broadcaster Talks Falter

unsuccessful licensing talks with British broadcasters, video portal Hulu has
shelved plans to launch in the U.K.,
the Telegraph reports. The joint venture between News Corp. (NYSE:NWS), NBC Universal (NYSE:GE) and

Video Search Engine Blinkx Debuts Targeted Ad System

Video search engine Blinkx has launched a new in-house targeted advertising
platform, TechCrunch reports. The site currently handles 17.5 million searches
a day across its network. The targeted ads will only be served on the company’s
own Blinkx.com, with advertisers able to target Blinkx users who have been
sorted into demographics with titles like "Yoga Moms," "Digital
Dads" and "Gossip Girls." TechCrunch posted a video interview
with CEO Suranga Chandratillake, who explains the new targeted advertising
