Box.net, the online file storage and sharing service, has just launched integration with Salesforce.com. Starting today businesses will be able to add a Box.net app to their Salesforce accounts, allowing them to quickly access their documents, media, and other files from directly within their CRM. The app also includes support for Box.net’s OpenBox platform, giving you access to the services that have been integrated with the service (these include services like Zoho and eFax).

- Microsoft (NASD:MSFT) announced on Wednesday that it has signed separate deals with
Facebook and Twitter, to bring real-time status updates from the services to
its Bing search engine. While financial terms of the nonexclusive agreements
were not disclosed, PaidContent cited
earlier reports pegging Twitter’s take as "several million dollars,"

At the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco today Microsoft’s President of Microsofts Online Services Group, Qi Lu, is talking with Tim O’Reilly. Rumors are swirling about a deal between Microsoft and Twitter to inject real-time tweets into Bing’s results, and all indications are that Qi Lu is going to announce that this morning. First, O’Reilly wanted to talk about some of the bigger picture issues for Microsoft with Search.

Loopt, the New Enterprise Associates and Sequoia-backed mobile social network, has acquired a relative newcomer to the scene – Y Combinator startup GraffitiGEO. Multiple sources have confirmed the acquisition, although neither company is commenting.

While the various forms of social media are becoming increasingly important to brands, Apple is one company that hasn’t exactly rushed to get involved. Sure, they have a few accounts here and there, but they’re not exactly Google, with their 500 Twitter accounts (okay, it’s really more like 50). But they could be slowly warming up to the idea.
