Federated Media Names Deanna Brown as President and COO

San Francisco
- Federated Media Publishing (FM), a San Francisco-based digital media firm
that helps companies market their brands through websites, blogs and social
networking applications, has named Deanna Brown as its president and COO. Brown
most recently served as the president at Scripps Networks Digital, and
previously held vice president and general manager titles at Yahoo and AOL. FM’s
clients include American Express, Intel, BMW, HP, Microsoft, RadioShack and

Echofon (Formerly TwitterFon) Unveils A Simple And Fast Native Mac Twitter Client

Screen shot 2009-09-29 at 10.38.30 AMYesterday, when I wrote that Tweetie was the best iPhone Twitter client not everyone agreed. Fair enough, there are a few other really great ones including Birdfeed (which we’ve covered here) and Echofon (the app formerly known as TwitterFon). And the team behind Echofon has today rolled something that puts it ahead of Tweetie in at least one regard: A native Mac client that syncs with the iPhone client.
